Cabinetry door overlay options
The diagram below is a basic example of the three main overlay options in cabinetry
- Partial overlay – as the name implies- it partially covers the the frame of the cabinet and reveals the face frame behind it. This is often a more cost effective option.
- inset overlay- this option is where the door is acually inside the frame of the cabinet. this is a flush door option and is a premium option as the doors are made to fit the openings.
- Full overlay- this option is where the door covers virtually all of the face frame. it is available on both framed and frameless cabinetry
